Springtime in Anza-Borrego
Desert Adventure

Join photographer Terry Matsuoka as he
takes us on a springtime adventure into
the Anza-Borrego Desert. Enjoy the great
food at Kendall’s Restaurant, the beautiful
desert landscapes and a tasty trip into Julian.
And if you like the idea of learning to take
better pictures of wildflowers, birds and
desertscapes, this is going to be the one trip
you won’t want to miss! In the spring, Anza-
Borrego flourishes with wild flowers that
carpet parts of the desert floor with brilliant
shades of purple, crimson and yellow. For
those who like birdwatching, you’ll find an
abundance of birds unique to the desert.
Capture the beauty of the desert on your
camera and show off your photographic gems
on our website page set up specially for those
who go on this excursion. Once we have
toured the beautiful spots in the desert, we
will ride our luxury coach back through Julian
where you can spend an hour strolling along
the quaint streets full of shops or eating apple
pie in this historic town. A picnic lunch from
Kendall’s is included. Please wear comfortable
shoes, sunscreen and/or a hat, and bring
water. You do not need to bring a camera as
the trip will be enjoyable even if you do not
wish to take pictures.
Fee: $75.00
Bus will pick up and drop off at MiraCosta
College Oceanside campus, parking lot 1A only.
Departure: 8 a.m. Return: 6:30 p.m.
